The Challenge

Boost foot traffic to Cinema via a viral mobile advertising campaign using a coupon to measure attribution.

Our Solution

Develop a rich media campaign with a Tap to WhatsApp integration. The user clicks on a Tap to WhatsApp button on the ad containing a coupon and a pre-populated message pops up within the WhatsApp application. The user then shares the ad and coupon with friends. A geofence was set up with a 10km radius around the theater and those who had recently visited competitors were targeted. Additionally, the campaign was set up to target users identified as a “movie goer”.


The campaign had a CTR of 1,5% higher than the average, and the coupon was downloaded 697 times. Additionally, the ad was shared via WhatsApp 700 times.
